2013 Charles Dean Memorial Concert

The Gainesville Community Band will open their 2013-14 season on September 22, 2013 with the Charles Dean Memorial Concert.

The concert will begin at 2:00  p.m. in the Santa Fe College Fine Arts Hall Auditorium. $6 donation requested at the door.

For the 21st year a new trumpet, donated by Hoggtowne Music, means that a middle school band  student will learn and enjoy music on a quality instrument, making practice and performance a rewarding experience for years to come.

Dr. Charles Dean (1929-1992) was a founding member,  principal trumpet and president of the Gainesville Community Band.  Each year, the band plays this concert in  memory of Dr. Dean.
